Raise awareness and understanding of mental health issues with this cover for a class worry box. Encourage your pupils to share their small problems so that they don’t develop into larger issues. Print out the cover images and stick on a cardboard box. Provide a welcome space for children to share their worries and concerns so they feel heard, valued and understood. Give every child the opportunity to have their voice heard in your class. Useful for Mental Health Awareness Weeks within primary schools. This can also be kept throughout the year to safeguard the children. Develop your pupil’s emotional wellbeing, language for discussing their emotions and provide them with coping strategies. 3 children in an average classroom are facing mental health problems and 75% of mental health issues arise before the age of 18. So we need to do all that we can to provide children with the tools to cope with these challenges and an understanding to support those around them as they grow. This cover is designed with a focus on friendly characters which the children will know and be able to relate to.
